Meadow Foods has denied rumours that it has been bought by a US food and agribusiness investor. Industry news outlet, DairyIndustryNewsletter.co.uk reported the rumour last night. However, Farmers Weekly understands that the UK dairy processor; Meadow Foods has received a significant investment from, US investor Paine & Partners. An official announcement is expected to be made on Monday, however it is unlikely the size of the investment will be disclosed. Meadow Foods represents 550 dairy farmers in the UK.
